Idyllwild Arts Academy Announces

Idyllwild Arts Academy Senior, Graham Dechter, Wins Composition Competition

Graham Dechter, a senior Music major at Idyllwild Arts Academy, won first prize in the Asia America Symphony competition for young composers. As winner of the competition he received a $1,000 scholarship and will have his prize winning orchestral work, entitled "The Passage", performed by the Asia America Youth Symphony.

Founded by Music Director David Benoit in 2002, the Asia America Youth Orchestra is sponsored by the Asia America Symphony Association, has pushed musical boundaries and showcased young and original talent from all around the world. This year is no exception.
