“Chamber Music Weekend at Idyllwild Arts” occurs on Saturday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. This special weekend event features two concerts of chamber music. The first performance includes pieces by Schubert, Mozart, Kuhlau, Loeillet and Bach. The second performance features the works of Brahms, Goedicke, and Beethoven among others. The performances will be held in Stephens Recital Hall on the campus of Idyllwild Arts, 52500 Temecula Road, Idyllwild, CA. As part of its rigorous music curriculum, the Idyllwild Arts Academy music department focuses on chamber music as well as solo and orchestral playing. Dividing the orchestral instrumentalists, pianists and guitarists into smaller groups provides an opportunity to become more independent and thoughtful in their music making. This ensemble playing, along with the excellent training the students receive as solo musicians, is a cornerstone of their musical education. It also provides them an opportunity to explore and share the chamber music literature, some of the finest music that has ever been composed. Please make plans to attend both days of chamber music. The performances are free and open to the public. Seating is not reserved. For additional information please call Public Relations
